Enrolment Process at Nīkau School
We’re thrilled to welcome families who are considering us as a nurturing and inspiring environment for their child’s education. Our enrolment process is designed to make your journey with us as smooth and personal as possible.
Whether your child is ready to start school now or a few years down the track, we encourage you to express your interest early. Spaces at Nīkau are limited, and by submitting an Expression of Interest, you’ll ensure your family is among the first to be considered.
🌿 Step 1: Express Your Interest
The first step is simple—share your interest in joining the Nīkau family! You can fill out our online form or contact our admissions team directly. Once we’ve received your Expression of Interest, we’ll send you a Welcome Pack via email. Inside, you’ll find everything you need to know about our Montessori approach, our beautiful school, the team and the learning opportunities we offer. Take your time to explore and feel free to reach out with any questions!
🌿 Step 2: Classroom Observation
After your expression of interest has been received, we will invite you and your partner/husband to book a classroom observation every Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:30am to see our Montessori classrooms in action for yourself and have the opportunity to ask us any questions.
🌿 Step 3: Trial visit
Once your child is close to their 6th birthday, we invite them to participate in a series of trial visits. These visits typically take place over three days, from Monday to Wednesday, 9:00am to 12:30pm.
This allows your child to experience the environment firsthand and for you to see whether this environment best suits your child and family.
🌿 Step 4: Interview
We’ll then invite you and your child to an interview. This is a chance for us to get to know your child better—their interests, strengths, and unique personality. It’s also a great opportunity for you to share your hopes for their education and ask any questions you might have. We believe this personal connection is key to ensuring we create the best possible experience for your family.
🌿 Step 5: Complete the Enrolment
If everyone feels Nīkau is the right fit, we’ll move forward with the enrolment process. Our team will guide you through the paperwork and any final details.
